1. Eligibility

• Renters must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid motorcycle license.

• Non-Malaysian riders must hold an international driving permit if their local license is not in English.

• The operator reserves the right to refuse rental if the renter displays reckless behavior, lacks confidence in handling the motorcycle, or fails to comply with the terms and conditions.

 

2. Booking and Payment

• A deposit is required to confirm a booking. Reservations are only secured upon receipt of this deposit.

• Proof of payment must be sent to the operator, who will confirm once it’s received.

• The balance must be paid at the time of bike handover.

• Accepted payment methods include online banking, e-wallets, debit/credit cards, and cash.

• Cheque payments must clear before the motorcycle is released.​

 

3. Identification and Documentation

• A valid motorcycle license and passport/ID must be presented upon collection.

• Only the registered renter is allowed to operate the motorcycle.

• The renter is fully responsible for the motorcycle during the rental period. 

 

4. Rental Period

• Rentals are based on a 24-hour per-day basis.

• Extensions must be requested and approved before the current rental period ends.

• Late returns will be charged hourly.

 

5. Prohibited Activities

• Smoking while riding or near the motorcycle is prohibited.

• Riding on the beach or off-road is not allowed.

• Alcohol or drug use before or while riding is strictly forbidden.

• Reckless riding or racing is not permitted.

 

6. Insurance

• All motorcycles come with basic insurance coverage.

• Insurance claims will only be made for major accidents due to lengthy processing times.

• The renter is liable for damages up to the stated maximum liability amount per motorcycle category.

• Renters are encouraged to purchase personal travel insurance for comprehensive protection.

 

7. Liability

• In case of an accident, the operator must be notified immediately.

• Renters are liable for any damage, loss, or theft during the rental period.

• Maximum liability based on motorcycle category:

  • Below 150cc: RM1,500

  • 150cc to 250cc: RM2,500

  • Above 250cc: RM5,000

 

8. Fuel Policy

• Bikes must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of handover.

• A refueling fee will be charged if the fuel level is lower upon return.

 

9. Maintenance and Breakdown

• Bikes are provided in good condition.

• Renters must report any malfunction or breakdown immediately.

• Do not attempt self-repairs. The operator will arrange assistance.

 

10. Traffic Violations and Summons

• All traffic fines and penalties during the rental period are the renter's responsibility.

• These must be settled before the motorcycle is returned.

 

11. Speed Limits and GPS Monitoring

• The general speed limit in Langkawi is 80 km/h.

• Some motorcycles may be equipped with GPS tracking for safety monitoring.

 

12. Damage and Loss

• Renters must return the bike in the condition it was received.

• Charges apply for any damage, loss, or missing parts/accessories:

  • Scratches requiring repainting

  • Cracked or broken headlights/taillights

  • Damaged mirrors or indicators

  • Punctured tires or bent rims

  • Burn marks, stains, or damage to the seat

  • Missing helmets or locks

• Repair costs will be based on current market rates with valid workshop invoices.

• A cleaning fee may be applied for excessively dirty or neglected bikes.

• A refundable security deposit will be held and may be used to cover damages.

 

13. Termination of Rental Agreement

• The operator reserves the right to terminate the rental and reclaim the motorcycle if terms are violated or if safety is compromised.
